9th Night of Horrors Child's Play

Well tonight I look at another horror movie that's has an interesting idea and just decides to give up on a good idea for something stupid or cliche. I mean how many horror movies did that? and to save you the trouble of actually counting the number it's probably a seven figure number, though I'm just guessing. Anywho it's Child's Play lets begin.

Our movie begins with our killer Chucky still as human played by Brad"why doesn't he have an acting award"Dourif being chased by the police where he is shot and tries to hide in a toy store. However this doesn't work and he using Voodoo magic to place his soul inside a doll know as a Good Guy. With the scene the entire twist is ruined within five minutes. Also while inside the store we see an accessory for a Good Guy which looks like a sub-machine gun
I could be wrong but look at it, it even looks like a clip on the box. After this scene we see a Good Guy cartoon or commercial it's not clear but what episode has the Good Guy going on a rampage with a gun?

Anyway back to the plot. We're that introduced to two of our main characters Karen and her son Andy whose obsessed with Good Guys and wants a Good Guy doll more than anything, until his next birthday when he'll want a Sega Genesis. Karen later buys a Good Guy from a peddler on the street and surprises her son with it. Later that night Karen has to work at late so she has her best friend Maggie watch Andy but she is later killed by the Good Guy doll aka Chucky because she wouldn't let him watch the news, the bitch!!  Soon afterwards the police suspect Andy and there suspension grow after Andy and Chucky head's to the hideout of Chucky's accomplice Eddie(who abandoned him at the start of the film) to kill him for being a pansy. Now believing to be crazed killer they send Andy to an insane asylum after he keeps blaming Chucky, clearly they never saw the first five minutes.

Later Karen learns that Chucky really is a living doll, oh my god I never saw that coming. Karen tries to tell the detective who was pursuing Chucky in the toy store, named Mike about the little walking talking doll but he of course doesn't believe her and she leaves to find out where the doll came from. Karen finds the peddler who tries to rape her because that's what we needed but she's save by Mike and the two learn the peddler got Chucky from the toy store. Karen leaves to find Chucky however Mike still doesn't believe her but changes his mind after the little killer tries to kill him.Mike and Karen both set off to find a Voodoo persist who taught Chucky how to transfer souls, Chicky also goes to see the guy when he starts taking damage like a real person and is told he as to transfer his soul into Andy's body because he was the first person he told, he than kills the persist. Chucky then heads to the asylum where Andy is but Andy gets away when Chucky decides to kill a random guy first.

Eventually everyone arrives back at Karen's apartment where Chucky attempts his liitle soul transfer but is stop by Karen who than traps Chucky in the fireplace where is burn to death. Or not as it seems that since he's more human he survive being burned alive and he continues to attack. After another attack Chucky gets his left arm, right arm and head shot off and he still keeps coming because like all humans we can survive with our head shot off. In the end Chucky is shot in the heart which kills him and everything was right again, except for the four dead bodies.

This movie it's hard to say if it's good or not. While we do have some good creepy scenes in the first, the acting is good, and the effects on Chucky are really good.Plus I think the movie have work had they made Andy the killer along because there are moments where it does fell like that. On the other hand the story is stupid, the creepy mood is remove in the second half and the kills don't really make any sense. All in all I'm flip flop on this film however I'll still say it's worth a watch. This is WinterDeathPeace saying peace out.
